The Pontifical Catholic University of Paran谩, founded in 1959, is a major university in Brazil. It is known in Portuguese as the Pontif铆cia Universidade Cat贸lica do Paran谩, or PUCPR. PUCPR has five campuses in Paran谩 State, with its main campus being in Curitiba. The university offers an extensive array of educational opportunities, with 60 undergraduate programs, alongside a variety of graduate and doctoral programs. PUCPR is the lead scientific research institute in Paran谩, producing a high proportion of all scientific publication in the state. The university has invested heavily in research over recent years and views it as a priority. PUCPR is ranked #45 in all of Latin America and boasts 23,000 students.
